Job introduction
All staff working in Satake are responsible as professionals, so new technologies and products are constantly being created. Here we introduce some of the work of staff at Satake.
Technology Department
Entry year: 2013
University department: Faculty of Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry, Bioengineering
I am engaged in designing mixers in the Technical Engineering Department.
The main task is to create design drawings based on the specifications that the Sales Department has decided on with the customer and to instruct the Manufacturing Department that orders parts and performs machining and assembly.
Moreover, when detailed design is done, we eliminate risks by examining mechanical strength, etc., so we play an important role for the safety and peace of mind of customers. We are working with the first priority to design mixers that allow safe processing and easy assembly on site so that customers can use them safely and with peace of mind.
When I think that a mixer that I was in charge of is actually used, and is useful to the customer and the world, my daily motivation increases.
Although there are not many opportunities to contact customers directly, the site personnel strictly check products to be manufactured, and many people in the department give me advice, making it a very comfortable workplace to work in.
Mixing Technology Laboratory
Entry year: 2010
University department: Faculty of Engineering, Department of Applied Science
My current manager happened to come to a cherry blossom party held by my laboratory when I was a student. He stirred a paper cup of alcohol with a chopstick and explained, "Like this everything is just spinning but is not properly mixed." At this time I felt what a deep subject "mixing" was, and this became the deciding factor for me joining the company.
I am doing joint research and development and equipment development work with customers at the Mixing Technology Laboratory. After repeated trial and error at the experimental stage, we propose a suitable mixer to the customer. It is a difficult task that requires bringing the results from the lab to the actual process and a wide range of knowledge. But my manager and senior staff have taught me a lot, and I have been amazed at Satake's rich knowledge of mixing and the high level of analysis technology. Especially, I was moved by Satake's stance to constantly learn about new technology and take on the challenge of developing cutting edge mixing equipment. I am extremely proud to have become a researcher at the industry-leading mixer manufacturer.
He stirred and explained, "Like this everything is just spinning but is not properly mixed." At this time I felt what a deep subject "mixing" was, and this became the deciding factor for me joining the company.
